As we step into a new year, there’s something wonderfully energising about planning time just for yourself — time to slow down, reconnect with your creativity, and rediscover the simple joy of making art. That’s exactly why I’m so excited to return to the magical Clos Mirabel for my September painting holidays, and why I’d love you to join me.
Set in the foothills of the French Pyrenees, Clos Mirabel is a place that instantly lifts your spirits: breathtaking views, peaceful gardens, warm hospitality, and the most delicious meals, made with local produce and grown from the estate. It’s the ideal setting to switch off from the everyday and immerse yourself in colour, inspiration and creativity.
In the studio we explore mixed media in the most joyful, hands-on way — inks, acrylics, collage, charcoal, playful mark-making and lots of layering. My aim is always to help you loosen up, let go of perfection, and discover your own artistic voice. Whether you’re an experienced artist or haven’t picked up a brush in years, you’ll be supported every step of the way.

This is why I love these retreats so much. When you step away from daily life and give yourself a full week to practice, play and explore, something shifts - confidence grows, ideas bloom, and your creativity unfolds in ways you can’t always predict. It’s a chance to discover (or rediscover!) the artist inside you.
