Jenny Muncaster graduated from Winchester School of Art in 1988 with an Hons Degree in Printed Textiles. She works from The Colour Factory Studios and Gallery in Winchester, which was set up with fellow artist Linda Miller in 1994. Jenny Muncaster’s paintings are sold throughout the UK and abroad. Her paintings possess a naïve charm and are both quirky and colourful, imbuing a sense of joie de vivre. With an illustrative feel, Jenny’s work mostly features images sourced from food, wine and travel. Commissions include paintings for private clients, illustration for design and publishing as well as producing site-specific artwork for hospitals, theatres, restaurants and hotels. Jenny has painted in many famous kitchens including Rick Stein's, and has worked on a collection of gastronomic paintings and artwork for TV Chef James Martin. Jenny is currently working on the latest collection of paintings for Hotel du Vin Poole and has recently finished a brand new collection of painted canvases for Raymond Blanc’s ‘Brasserie Blanc’ restaurants. Some of Jenny’s larger scale site specific artworks can be seen at The Chicken Shed Theatre in North London where a 30ft painting in the foyer depicts dancing figures. Outside the theatre you can see her designs within the amphitheatre floor, made from resin bound glass and marble. Local work can be seen at North Hants Hospital and Southampton General Hospital in the newly refurbished Ocean Ward and PICU ward, and painted panels at Friarsgate Medical Centre in Winchester.
